Covid – 19

We all are in the trap of pandemic

So now its time to get academic

Total lock down, unexpected in our furthest dreams,

This curfew so ruefully ongoing, unending it seems.

Everything looks to be so unreal, like the movie contagion

Streets are stark desserted, human race rests in isolation.

Every day we wait to hear the numbers recede,

Sanitizers, masks and gloves at rescue, humanity to secede.

A test citing positive, an immediate quarantine

A feeling so discreet, as if riding a serpentine.

For all our dreams ought to cease and exit,

A ghastly truth of today’s happenings, a blue print of yesterday’s ignorance subsists.

Corona virus as we call, is shockingly lethal

Sublime in a way holding a message quintessential .

Do not ravage mother earth or harm the nature

A lesson exemplary, its time for retrieval.

The depiction of heroes have changed in reality

Its doctors, nurses and paramedics, niether an athelete or a celebrity .

Scared to see one another, unaware where the infection is,

This outbreak so contagious, hope for a miracle and patience my heart fills.

So keep your distance and do as you please

Don’t get too close, supposing any one may sneeze

No hugs no kisses stay 2 meters away

Show your love and warmth staying far away.

Stay home stay safe

Until this becomes a memory

Long ago a virus attacked

And we fought it with bravery.

Angels in white battling to save our lives

Lets hope and pray that the world survives.
