Every No brings you closer to a Yes!

Ever since i remember ; right from my childhood days, most we heard were “NO’s”. No , as not in terms of deficit or materialistic approach but relatively more in discipline and life style.Me, meekly agreeing and moving on with each No .

Presently , I have a three year old boy in my neighbourhood. If ever you tell him no for anything , promptly he’ll ask you …why? It often irritates as i may be not programmed for counter questioning but i appreciate his impromptu intelligence and courage to ask back the reason – But why? I often wonder why i never asked why’s to the No’s hurled on me. Hitherto , today if anyone says No, i just grin; & say “Why Not?”

This actually was my mantra or driving force since the time i started facing “No”. ( though i read this quote a while back, nevertheless it relates to me haphazardly). Every time a No forced me off or blowed me down , I stood up with draconian powers to prove myself deserving a Yes. Not because i was adamant but i was rightfully eligible. If not, i became one. This whole process of transformation was obdurate , challenging yet exclusive. It moulded, modified and shaped me exclusively. Importantly, i never gave up.I never let it go.

So today, as i hearken back to all the No’s who brought me closer to my Yes’s , i feel blessed. I feel gratified for the lessons i learnt towards the process that shifted me to Sui generis.The courage gained, the wisdom attained, the cliches handled, the nische’s explored, the dogmas i came to terms with , the stigmas i skunked and much much more.

The inspiration is On. This is not the end, just another U-turn. Ergo, next time you face a No , just smile as you are ready proceed a step more towards Yes, to get each and all to your stride. Yes ! You Can!
