Fail-lures✖️🔴✔️

The canvas of your life ensembles not just bright colours or pastel hues but owns dark shades too.

Do we accept them? At times yes or mostly no!!!

“Failure is the condiment that gives success its flavor” – Truman Capote.

Embarrassed, lost , heart broken , depressed, anxious, panicked or broke… a bag of mixed emotions during failures. Most of all worried on what others will think? The outside world is the most focused and biggest attention factor of one’s fear, rejection, embarrassment…. During one’s failure! But why? Do we really care? Why do we?

Lets shift our focus on our trials. Its ok we may have failed but at least we tried, we learnt, we gained experience ( good or bad)… isn’t it?

“Do not let arrogance go to your head and despair to your heart; do not let compliments go to your head and criticisms to your heart; do not let success go to your head and failure to your heart” – Roy T. Bennett,

Only those who dare to fail can ever achieve. One is bound to fail. Its inevitable part of human existence. But it should not let you down for once failed doesn’t mean failed forever.

This reminds me of a poem by William Hickson

‘Tis a lesson you should heed –

Try, try, try again;

If at first you don’t succeed,

Try, try, try again.

Then your courage should appear;

For if you will persevere,

You will conquer, never fear,

Try again.

Once or twice though you should fail,

If you would at last prevail,

Try again.

If we strive, ’tis no disgrace

Though we did not win the race

What should you do in that case?

Try again.

If you find your task is hard.

Try again;

Time will bring you your reward,

Try again;

All that other folk can do,

Why with patience should not you?

Only keep this rule in view,

Try again.

Such inspiring words.

I recently came across a video where they mentioned quite interesting information. The top MNC’s interviewing their top notch candidates eventually who’ll be payed salaries in millions/ PA ; what questions do they ask? The answer was , just one question : “ Describe a big failure in your life and how did you handle it?” And they have about 30 min to explain. Amazing… they don’t want you to boast your performances or achievements. That actually does not define you. If given a chance , motivation, support or under pressure or by any means ( fair n foul) performance or achievements are likely. Big deal! Important is How did you handle a failure? How did you handle a set back? How did you handle a fall in your life? That is what ; is crucial! If the business or life is at peak , anybody can continue to run and manage but what if there is a thud? In professional or personal life both? Your attitude, your thoughts, your practices are what matters here the most. They are the factors to hold you, help you get up and get going. Importantly your attitude is your driving force, the only weapon in your armory. And that’s your greatness.

Just remember if there are hundred things in your control with which you try to affect the end results; for sure there are thousand things beyond your control which can negatively affect the end results.

Thus as , Lord Krishna quotes in Bhagwat Geeta “ you concentrate on your actions ( karma) not consequences ( phala) in your best thoughts and practices and rest will be taken care of.”

Righteous practices and positive attitude can be foundational pillars to the force that holds your life…. Hence! Don’t worry on failures… get up, think ahead, get going…. Good Luck!
